Our Core Values

Pastors Richard & Joan West

In 1991 Pastors Richard and Joan West were supernaturally called to the city of Fairfield. While praying they had a simultaneous vision of a group people calling out to God for a pastor that believed in and allowed the present-day ministry of the Holy Spirit. As they continued to pray aloud what they heard in this vision, the Lord revealed to them the people praying were in Fairfield, CA.

When they traveled to Fairfield they met a couple who a few weeks later opened their home for Pastor Richard to teach and minister to a small group of people. Within 90 days there were forty-nine adults and seventeen children who caught the vision for Liberty Church. No longer able to fit into a home, the growing community had to relocate. Liberty went from a home to an office space, to a community center, to a store front, to a tent, to the current location at 2641 N. Texas St.

From small beginnings we have become a body of believers impacting local and global communities. Over the years our local outreach teams have assisted local schools serving students and teachers with supplies, special teacher recognition, student mentorship, and tutoring. We have reached into low-income neighborhoods with material and spiritual support as well as partnering with Fairfield Police in community engagement activities – reducing crime and bringing safer streets to our community. Through the love of God, we have seen many individuals in these neighborhoods come to life-saving faith in Christ!

Globally, we assist church development in the nations of The Philippines, Liberia, Romania, China, Japan, Mexico and Columbia. Pastor Richard is engaged in church planting and extensive training for pastors and leaders in Liberia and The Philippines. Liberty Mission Teams serve children in Liberian orphanages and street ministry in the Philippines. We are major supporters of the C.U.R.E. Foundation who provide care for and rehabilitate girls from 2-18 who are victims of sex trafficking in the Philippines through the love and power of the gospel.

We invite you to join us on our journey to change Solano County and nations around the world through

God’s love and His power found in the gospel of Jesus Christ!

What we believe

The program and activities of Liberty Church are based upon and at all times shall be consistent with the following beliefs:

  • The Holy Bible is the inspired, the only infallible and authoritative Word of God.

  • There is one God manifested in three personalities:  God the Father (I AM), God the Son (The Lord Jesus Christ),
    and God the Holy Spirit.

  • The reality of Satan and his present control over unregenerate man.

CHRISTIANITY IS BASED UPON THE FOLLOWING:

The deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, His personal return in power and glory as Lord of Lords and King of Kings.

  • The fall of man and his lost estate, which makes necessary a rebirth through confession and belief in the Lord Jesus Christ.

  • The reconciliation of man to God by the substitutionary death and shed blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.

  • The resurrection of believers unto everlasting life and blessing in heaven, and the resurrection of unbelievers unto everlasting punishment in the torments of hell.

  • The present supernatural ministry of the Holy Spirit, who bestows gifts in and among believers on the earth today.

MARRIAGE:

Marriage is a covenant between a man and a woman instituted by God.

  • The church defines “marriage” as the exclusive covenantal union of one man and one woman in which such union is a lifetime commitment.

  • A civil government’s sanction of a union will be recognized as a legitimate marriage by the church only to the extent that it is consistent with the definition of “marriage” found in this statement of faith.

  • Legitimate sexual relations are exercised solely within marriage. Hence, sexual activities outside of marriage (referred to in the New Testament as “porneia”-- πορνεια) including but not limited to, adultery, premarital sex, homosexuality, and pedophilia are inconsistent with the teachings of the Bible and the Church.
